<text>In Writing and Inquiry in Academic Contexts I and II (UWRT 1103), you will develop an extended inquiry project that integrates materials from varied sources and includes writing in multiple genres. You will write, revise, edit and reflect on your writing with the support of the teacher and peers. You will also immerse themselves in a conversation about a topic through reading, questioning, and process writing. Polished writing might assume the forms of presentations, reviews of research, essayistic arguments, or multi-media and web-based projects. You will learn to distinguish rhetorical contexts, practice different conventions, and develop positions in relation to research. You will also adopt digital technologies to network, compose, and/or critique and disseminate your work. Grades are derived primarily from portfolios that include work generated throughout the term.</text>

Part II: Your Group will organize a social media blitz that showcases each person’s flyer and informs your target audience about genocide. The media blitz must run for three days: : Sun., 11/25-Tue., 11/27. You will present your media blitz to the class on Thur., 11/29 (and be graded on it at that time). Aside from sharing the media blitz, you should cover these points in your presentation: understanding of audience, understanding the medium; and your thinking behind the structure of the blitz.

You will write a 200-word reflection that addresses these questions: What did you want your audience to know? Why is this important to you? How did you effectively convey this message? What do you wish you had done differently, if you’d had more time?
</text>
